We don't want money disappearing into organisational machinery. We want it connected to visible work.
Fund outcomes, not organisational sprawl
Money should be connected to defined work and mission outcomes — a change item, a milestone, a piece of evidence — not to keeping an organisation running for its own sake.
Transparent use of funds
Where practical, we publish what's required, what's secured, which workstream it sits in, who's delivering it, its status, and what it produced.
Minimum administration
Fundraising and grant administration stay proportional to the money involved. Money intended for the mission should reach the work.
Independence
Funding should not purchase control over evidence or conclusions. Funders may support work. They should not be able to dictate results.
No hidden conflicts
Material funding relationships are disclosed.
Fair pay
People doing serious expert work should be paid fairly. This shouldn't depend indefinitely on unpaid labour.
Open evidence where possible
Public-interest research funded through Enleashed should normally produce publicly inspectable outputs, subject to privacy, security and legitimate commercial constraints.
Public innovation funding
Strategic Innovation Fund-style programmes, research programmes and innovation grants aimed at testing new infrastructure and mechanisms.
Philanthropy
Foundations or individuals interested in public-interest systems reform rather than a financial return.
Academic / research funding
Research councils, universities and collaborative research programmes, particularly for evidence and validation work.
Industry partners
Organisations that benefit from testing or enabling the proposed reform — network operators, suppliers, generators.
Commercial capital
Where a mission produces commercially scalable infrastructure or technology, and commercial terms are appropriate.
Community / individual backers
People who simply believe the work needs to exist.
