Get Inspired
Ideas, people, history, culture and creativity that give the movement energy and help it think differently — curated, not a bookmarks folder. Nothing here needs to be conventional; it does need a reason for being here, and each category below says what that reason is.
Videos
Talks, clips and speeches — serious and playful by turns — chosen to keep the mission's imagination honest, not to be polished.
Included for the idea of a public vow made before anyone can know what it will cost — one of 28 videos, most with a line on why they're here.
Music
The mission anthem and movement playlist — energy, courage and momentum in a register argument can't reach.
“I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more”

Reform liberalised energy market rules to decarbonise the economy, steward the planet, improve living standards, eliminate fuel poverty, reduce societal inequality, have a healthy, resilient economy where businesses can afford energy and activities happen domestically, to have the resilient businesses and industry we need to defend our values and deter our enemies, to restore British values, to once again be a beacon of light and hope to the world, to support economic growth through redesigning how network owners are compensated and incentivised to ensure we have the infrastructure to deliver energy for the industries of the future and have a safe, and secure energy system and to deliver on the ideals of liberalised energy markets through removing structural barriers to entry on the supply side in a way which enables innovative supplier business models who can deliver rich consumer and business experiences, promote competition in having the right type of generation in the right places at the right sizes on the cost of generating electrons and which provides revenue certainty to investors and clear signals on where investment is needed.

— Kruger & Dunning (1999)
Philosophies
Six principles — nature, evidence, truth, consent, endurance, reason — that sit underneath everything else here.
The scientific method
Ideas earn their place by surviving an attempt to disprove them, not by being convenient or popular.
Poems
Language tuned to endurance and courage — the emotional register technical writing can't carry.
“If—” — Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too...
People
People whose work, character or courage illustrate something worth learning from — not a list of people Enleashed agrees with on everything.
Katharine Birbalsingh — Founder, Michaela Community School
Diagnosed a broken system, then built a working alternative and tested it against results — one of three people profiled here.
