Evidence
Operational evidence, literature, empirical experience and validation.
Evidence
This architecture has extensive real-world evidence because it is the incumbent Great Britain market design.
Useful evidence should be separated into distinct questions:
- wholesale liquidity and trading;
- balancing performance;
- constraint costs;
- reliability;
- capacity procurement;
- CfD outcomes;
- network investment;
- consumer outcomes;
- DER participation.
Continued operation demonstrates implementability, but does not by itself establish that each mechanism is efficient or that the overall architecture is optimal.
Scientific Claims
The evidence programme is organised around a set of scientific claims. Each claim is supported by one or more experiments that test specific properties of the proposed market architecture.
