The conception of equal treatment, cost allocation and access embedded in the architecture.
Fairness
The architecture does not contain one explicit mathematical definition of fairness.
Equal treatment is primarily procedural:
- participants operating under the same market rules;
- comparable bids receiving comparable treatment;
- regulated charging methodologies;
- consumer protections and social-policy interventions.
Repeated scarcity does not create an explicit fairness memory.
A key critique is therefore whether equal market rules are sufficient when different users have different physical access, flexibility, wealth and ability to respond to dynamic prices.
