Dynamic operating envelopes and flexible DER access have real deployments and trials, but should still be treated as an emerging layer rather than universally mature functionality across the entire NEM.
Evidence should therefore distinguish:
- established wholesale dispatch;
- transmission operation;
- DER aggregation;
- dynamic operating-envelope trials;
- consumer outcomes;
- distribution-network scalability.
Scientific Claims
The evidence programme is organised around a set of scientific claims. Each claim is supported by one or more experiments that test specific properties of the proposed market architecture.
