The emerging Australian architecture combines a fast centrally dispatched wholesale market with increasingly dynamic treatment of network access.

At bulk-system level:

The architecture therefore separates the energy price from the network-access constraint rather than attempting to encode every distribution constraint into the wholesale energy price.
